Kia Orana and Warm Pacific Greetings from the SPTO Division of Sustainable Tourism!

In this October issue of the Pacific Sustainable Tourism Newsbeat, we are highlighting Pacific people and partners who are contributing to the sustainable development of tourism across the Blue Pacific.  It is not possible to highlight everyone, however, recognizing the tremendous effort of our SPTO Member Countries in the ongoing recovery efforts inspires appreciation for the many faces behind the sustainable tourism machinery in the Pacific.  They are truly part of a larger network of champions behind the Pacific Islands’ progress, so enjoy learning about your valued tourism partners!

In this issue we are also sharing updates from the inaugural Pacific Sustainable Tourism Summit recently held in Rarotonga, Cook Islands, on 2^nd November 2022.  This is a milestone for the Pacific and having our tourism leaders engage with stakeholders on key tourism issues at this critical part of the recovery phase could not have come at a better time.

We recognize the two new signatories to the Pacific Sustainable Tourism Commitment Cook Islands and American Samoa who officially signed on 2^nd November 2022 in Rarotonga. Congratulations again Cook Islands and American Samoa!
