General Manager, Mark Leslie accepted the award saying “This is a wonderful achievement for VOMO and we are truly delighted to receive such distinguished recognition. At VOMO we strive to give all our guests the best experience possible. The property’s authentic Fijian touches and European elegance make it feel like a home away from home. Stunning poolside views, remote island feel, acclaimed food and beverage and unique diving options along with our genuine Fijian Hospitality make it a place quests can truly unwind.”
Vomo Island, director of sales and marketing Karen Marvell said: “The team at Vomo has worked incredibly hard over the past year to be a stand out luxury resort, not only in Fiji but a global player, following our extensive refurbishments in 2015 and 2016.

“We re-opened this week one year ago and have enjoyed building the occupancy over that time and showcasing our stunning product to the world.
“It is really nice to be recognised for the level of hospitality and the experience we are showcasing at Vomo and in Fiji, to the rest of the world. Having said that, winning awards is certainly not at the top of our ‘to do list’.
“What we strive to do every day is delight our guests and when they tell us they want to come back next year, before they have even left the island to go home, we know we have the formula for success. That is more important and rewarding than anything else.
“Those every day victories are the ones we work so hard to achieve on a daily basis. The awards are a nice reminder every now and then that you are on track and an accolade is always a lovely surprise when it comes your way.”
After winning the award, Mark Leslie, general manager said: “2016 was a challenging year getting opened. But I would like to say well done to our truly amazing VOMO team for always kicking goals and making sure we lead the way. I am truly proud to be part of this team.”
Prices start from $1468 per couple per night.
