Tourism Fiji Successfully Hosts Japan Roadshow for 2020

Leading the Fiji delegation in Japan last week was Tourism Fiji’s Regional Manager for Asia, Ms Kathy Koyamaibole who said it was a great opportunity to strengthen and educate Japan’s travel trade partners about the destination’s offerings.

“Since the launch of direct flights from Narita, we’ve invested significantly into establishing strategic partnerships with our Travel Trade Partners to not only drive visitor arrivals to Fiji, but also yield. This roadshow is key in establishing and strengthening partnerships with our strategic partners, while also aligning with Japan’s core contracting periods. Fiji’s industry partners attested to the value of business derived from the roadshow and are enthusiastic in fulfilling this roadshow during famils that will showcase their products while the agents are in Fiji” explains Ms Koyamaibole.

Partners in attendance included: Fiji Airways, Ahura Resorts (Malolo Island Resort and Likuliku Lagoon Resort), Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa (and Double Tree Fiji, Sonaisali Island), Mana Island Resort & Spa Fiji, Marriott International Fiji (Sheraton Fiji Resort, Denarau Island, Sheraton Fiji Resort, Tokoriki Island, Sheraton Denarau Villas, The Westin Fiji Resort & Spa and Fiji Marriott Resort, Momi Bay), Matamanoa Island Resort Fiji, The Naviti Resort (and Warwick Fiji Resort & Spa), Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, Castaway Island Fiji, The Pearl Resort, Pehicle Tours (Fiji) PTE Ltd, Rosie Holidays, Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa, South Pacific Oceania (SPO) and Yasawa Island Resort & Spa.

These organised Roadshows and events raise the destination’s profile in market, provide updates from the suppliers and demonstrate to our partners in Japan that we are invested in the market and committed to making the direct access a success.
