Fiji Airways, a key partner, provided logistical support, ensuring the seamless coordination of the Pacific delegation’s efforts.
The team spirit at the South Pacific Pavilion was palpable throughout the event, with members working together to create meaningful connections and showcase the region’s hidden gems.
SPTO Chief Executive Officer Christopher Cocker mentioned that the DEMA Show 2024 was a remarkable platform for SPTO and its partners to highlight the Pacific as a premier destination for dive tourism and ocean adventures. From the marine biodiversity to the cultural vibrancy, the Pacific offers unparalleled experiences that resonate deeply with eco-conscious travelers and industry leaders.
“The DEMA Show is not just an event; it’s a gateway to the future of dive tourism which is a vital niche market segment for our Blue Pacific. The Pacific’s story of breathtaking marine beauty, cultural heritage, and sustainability resonated with attendees, and we are excited to build on this momentum. Together, we can shape a thriving dive tourism industry that benefits our region and the world,” added Cocker.
“Dive tourism plays a vital role in the economies of many Pacific Island nations, driving conservation efforts and supporting the livelihoods of our communities. “We extend our gratitude to Fiji Airways, our National Tourism Organisations (NTOs), and private sector partners whose participation made the DEMA Show a resounding success. Through this event, we not only showcased the Pacific’s unique offerings to a global audience but also underscored our commitment to sustainable tourism and leadership in the industry.”
